CUHK Business School Master’s Programmes School Nomination Admission Scheme – 2027 Intake

The Nomination Admission Scheme for Master's degree programs at the CUHK Business School Fall 2027 intake, will soon be available. Our graduating or recent graduates may apply for admission to CUHK Business School Master's Programs via nominations through CUHK-Shenzhen.


The following programs are available for Nomination Admission Scheme application  (10 nominations available per program.):

  • • MSc in Actuarial Science and Insurance Analytics

  • • MSc in Aviation Management

  • • MSc in Business Analytics

  • • MSc in Finance

  • • MSc in Information Science and Technology Management

  • • MSc in Management

  • • MSc in Leadership for Experience Economy

  • • MSc in Marketing

  • • MSc in Real Estate

  • • MSc in Sustainable Global Business

Ⅰ. Eligibility for Nominations:

Students to be nominated by the school should fulfil all the requirements below:

  • •  An undergraduate GPA of B+ or above, or equivalent qualifications;

  • • Overall academic performance ranking in the top tier in the same major at the institution (ifapplicable)

  • • Meet the English language requirements for admission to the Master’s programmes at the Chinese

  • • University of Hong Kong (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, etc.); the language requirements for CUHK-Shenzhen could

  • • be waived by submitting Proof of English-medium instruction

  • • Possess outstanding academic and extracurricular/ curriculum-related performance thatthrive to pursue

  •   postgraduate studies.

  • • Have not participated in any other Collaborative Degree Program or nomination programs (e.g., '3+2', '4+1')

  •   offered by the University.

  • • No previous admission to the CUHK Business School via this Nomination Admission Scheme.

  • * The classification of grades and GPA/CGPA equivalent follows the scale set out by the school concerned. If the school does not use a letter sub-grading system, the grading scale of B+ to CGPA in CUHK postgraduate studies will be the reference point for drawing a concordance of a B+ grade.

 

 Ⅱ. Entitlement of Nominees:

Students who are nominated for admission to CUHK Business Master’s Programmes through the nomination scheme are entitled to:

  • • Have an admission interview (if applicable) and a prioritized admission assessment.

  • • Be exempted from the GMAT/GRE requirement with an average grade of B+ or above or equivalent*.

  •  Be eligible for admissions scholarships offered to the nominated students.

  •  Application fee for each CUHK Business School master’s programme applied for will be waived.


Ⅲ. Key dates and Procedures: 


  • 1. Submit Application to CUHK:

  • Students who wish to apply for admission through the Nomination Admission Scheme should complete the submission of admission application via the CUHK Business School Postgraduate Programmes Application Portal https://apply.bschool.cuhk.edu.hk/ from  May 5th 10am to May 23th (Beijing Time), 2026.

  • 2. Inform CUHK-Shenzhen:

  • Inform CPDO of your application number by completing the link https://wj.cuhk.edu.cn/vm/rCUUk0J.aspx before 12:00 on May24th ,2026 (BeijingTime) to be considered in the Nomination Admission Scheme.

  • 3. Student List Transmission:

  • On May 27th , 2026, CPDO will send the list of Nominees list to CUHK Business School.

  • 4. Application Review:

  • From June 1st to June 17th , 2026, CUHK Business School Master’s programs Offices will assess  applicat-ions and arrange evaluations and admission interviews on a rolling basis.

  • 5. Notification of Results: 

  • On June 24th, 2026, the Office of Taught Postgraduate Programmes (OTPG) will notify CPDO of the successful/ unsuccessful nominations. CPDO will inform the students.

  • 6. Enrollment Procedures

  • No later than June 30th  , 2026, students who receive admission offer emails from the CUHK Business School Master’s  Programs Office concerned should complete the subsequent enrollment process through the CUHK Graduate School.

  • 7. Application Fee Refund: 

  • Nominees are advised to pay the application fee using online digital payment which will take a shorter processi-ing time for a refund. Application fee will be refunded within 1 month after announcement of nomination result.


Ⅳ. Important Information:

  • • Please carefully consider your intention to enroll before participating. To ensure the sustainablilty of the progr-am, admitted applicants are expected to enroll as scheduled.

  • • Complete the CUHK Business School Master’s Programs application to obtain your application number, and   then submit it to CPDO by the corresponding deadline.

  • • Failure to submit your application to CUHK Business School or inform application number to CPDO will re-sult in the application for the Nomination Admission Scheme being unsuccessful.

  • • Students may apply for multiple master’s programs  through the Nomination Admission Scheme. Due to the   quota limit of 10 students per program, each student will generally be recommended for one  program.

  • Students applying to multiple programs must prioritize them. If the first-choice is full, the university will consider subsequent choices in order. CPDO will prioritize ensuring as many students as possible are included  in the   Nomination Admission Scheme, with final arrangements based on participant numbers and quotas.

  • • Admitted applicants must pay a non-refundable deposit of one-third (or more) of the tuition fee within the spe-cified period to secure  places (amounts vary by program).

  • • For students officially nominated for the CUHK Business School Nomination Admission Scheme, relevant  de-partments (including the Registry, Schools, and Career Planning and Development Office) will suspend proces-sing their applications for other overseas studies, Sino-foreign joint programs, or employment until the admissi-on results are released. Processing will resume for unadmitted students from the date the results are announc-ed.

  • • Upon successful participation in the program and admission to the CUHK Business School, students are, in p-rinciple, not allowed to participate in other internal combined bachelor's-master's degree programs, joint training programs, or other recommendation schemes.
