Introduction
In 1988, Harris emerged from an interdepartmental committee on public policy studies. Since its founding, Harris has been redefining the concept of a public policy school, transforming the idea of public policy from an ideology reliant on politics and pedigree to a science rooted in data and impact. Over the past three decades, Harris’s curriculum has integrated data science with policy analysis, cultivating a generation of data-driven leaders who are encouraged to ask questions and committed to finding answers through evidence.
Harris currently offers six degree programs, thirteen policy area specializations, multiple joint degree programs, and various short-term training programs. The school boasts a diverse community with over 4,000 alumni from more than 50 countries. At Harris, every student has academic and career advisors and can also participate in a mentor program. The school has a robust alumni support system in place. Students from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and policy directions come together in the inclusive Harris community, where they spend meaningful time building their networks and grow while further pursuing their dreams.
