About MSAI
Artificial intelligence is transforming every sector of society, and Columbia University is positioned to lead this transformation. The MSAI program is designed to prepare the next generation of leaders in an era defined by data-driven decision-making, intelligent systems, and automation. It is a truly interdisciplinary program across departments in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, in collaboration with the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, the School of the Arts, the Mailman School of Public Health, the Statistics Department in A&S, and the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
This 30-credit program integrates foundational principles with advanced AI methodologies, ensuring that graduates are proficient in both technical foundations and computational tools, and can apply them to solve complex, real-world problems. The program is ideal for students with a STEM background and/or strong skills in math and programming.
The deadline to apply for Fall 2026 is March 15th.
